We love our home: Asahikawa, Hokkaido, and Japan. Located in the heart of Hokkaido, our rice, vegetables, and fruit are truly delicious.
Asahikawa and Sapporo markets are the first stop for freshly-caught seafood from the seas surrounding Hokkaido. This is the secret to fresh seafood at an inland location!
We proudly continue to use almost exclusively local and domestic produce.

Sensyoen consists of two buildings, the Main Hall and Annex, with rooms offering a relaxing stay for the needs of each guest, whether visiting on business or pleasure.
Our Annex Building 4th Floor rooms are certain to delight families, with a panoramic view of Asahikawa and surrounding parts of Hokkaido.

We have won a reputation for providing a truly Japanese-style, elegant atmosphere and warm hospitality, at reasonable prices.
We are also bringing in furnishings built in Asahikawa as much as possible.
The stylish soba buckwheat noodle restaurant “Sobasen” is our pride and joy. Our soba noodles are freshly made using traditional techniques and locally-produced buckwheat flour, making this Sobasen one of the Takasago area’s most well-known dining spots. A must try!
“Sensyoen Buckwheat Beer” — made only during the buckwheat harvest season. Using buckwheat grown in Horokanai, this distinct local brew is only available at Sensyoen. Available from late September while stock lasts, this beer typically sells out by yearend.
We also highly recommend fresh local treats such as tomato juice, milk, soft-serve ice cream, and our fine selection of liquors. Most of our menu makes use of Asahikawa or Hokkaido produce.
